Finished and Ready to be Washed!

Here are some pictures of my finished plaid quilt. I've attached the boarders around the stippled quilt and am throwing it in the wash. These are the before shots, we'll see what it looks like after it's been washed and dried! Next quilt will be my Valentine's Day quilt! It's a gift so I hope it comes out nice!

Finally, I finished stippling my plaid quilt and it came out nice for a beginner! Today I will put on the binding, throw it in the wash post it! I am keeping my fingers crossed that the binding will turn out well! :-)

Round Robin Didn't Sing.....

My Round Robin quilt did not turn out as I had hoped or you would be viewing a picture right about now. :-( As it seems, I transposed one of the blocks..."boo-hoo" However, a dear and trusted friend who will be receiving the troubled block in a few days, is willing to repair this terrible mistake. She is definitely a "very cool" person!

One the block has been repair, I will post a "before and after" picture so you can see the horrendous things that can happen when doing 5 things all at once!

My Round Robin will sing one day...I am sure of it!

Ahhh, after organizing my quilting room, I am feeling inspired! It just feels great to have space to lay out my quilt! My next project will be to create a quilt wall where my creations can come alive before they are stitched! As for now, I must return to my quilt haven and sweep and dust! Then, I will stipple my confidence into a finished quilt!

Sewing Room With Fabric

Quilting Room...Here it is!

Quilting Room

The day has finally come for me to organize my quilting room and prepare to "mass produce" a few quilts. Yeah, right! I've made more quilts in my mind than with the "globs" of fabric I have stashed away in my basement. In any event, I am determined to get that quilting room finished! I must admit, I made great progress yesterday and will devote half of my day to it today. I'm feeling more refresh this morning so hopefully, I'll make some notable progress! We'll see!!

Stippling Project...Coming soon!

Ok, so today while having coffee with a friends at Barnes and Noble, I decided that my first stippling project will be place mats! I figured, who cares if it's not perfect? After all, I can always cover the mistakes with a plate and settings. Once I figure out this new camera of mine, I'll share some photo's :-)

More Stippling..... And some samples

Lately, I've been stippling on large blocks of muslin with batting in between. "Just for practice" Unfortunately, the only thing I had to practice on was a heavy loft poly batting which did not work! I creatively, using a bit of common sense, pulled the batting apart to thin it out a bit. Now, most experts would have figured this out took a few broken needles for me to figure out this master plan :-) So, I now return back to my machine for more practice! I am determined to get master this technique and then try it out on a baby quilt...wish me luck!

Here are a few samples...
